Secret Scotland

If it's secret, and in Scotland…

Glasgow searchlight

I don’t make it into Glasgow city centre very often, so try to wander the side streets when I can, in case there’s something interesting or new to see.

There’s a shop near Glasgow Cross, in King Street, The Treasure Bunker, which can be worth a look, as it deals in various military antiques, militaria, medals, toy soldiers, tanks, and all things similar.

It has an old wartime searchlight in the doorway (not sure if the owner is keeping it, or if it’s for sale) but it’s still an interesting thing to come across:

I’m not being stingy, and excluding a shot of the shop – I’m afraid I was too interested in the searchlight, and the contents of the windows, so clean forgot to take another pic to show the context.

Next time…
