Trump – a disease that ruins everything it touches

With sufficient money, you can probably get away with just about anything, for a while at least.

Even serious blatant criminals, gangsters, and drug cartels do quite well behind their millions, until they make a mistake and the authorities lock them up, or their ‘friends’ arrive packing machine guns one day.

If you’re a orange moron you can even tell your fans how the Continental Army “took over the airports” during the American Revolutionary War in the 1770s, even though there was no air travel in 18th Century America, or anywhere else for that matter, since the famous Wright brother’s flight didn’t take place until 1903.

But if your name’s Trump, historical facts are irrelevant to your ‘Alternative Facts’. YOU know better!

While his army of followers, paid commenters, and camp followers think he’s some sort of god, the rest of us just look on, shake our heads, and marvel at how his billions are protecting him from impeachment, or being brought down some other way.

Many predicted he would destroy a part of Scotland some years ago, when he bulldozed land and people to make way for his golf course.

They were dismissed, and assured everything would be fine.

That nice Mr Trump and his organisation said they cared, and would look after everything.

Golf Trump

Golf Trump

Guess what?

They lied!

But, the Trump machine has already swung into action, and is accusing SNH of being the villain.

(My bold bits.)

Sand dunes at Donald Trump’s Aberdeenshire golf resort may lose their status as a protected wildlife site.

Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) said there is no longer a reason to protect the dunes at Menie as they do not include enough of the special features for which they were designated a site of special scientific interest (SSSI).

Trump International described the move as a “stitch-up” and said SNH had hit an “all-time low”.

The designation is given to areas with rare species of fauna or flora, or with important geological or physiological features.

Friday marks the beginning of a three-month consultation on the future status of Foveran Links SSSI, of which the dunes at Menie form part.

Mr Trump was granted permission to build a golf course at the site despite concerns about damage to the dunes and Trump International Golf Links opened in 2012.

SNH said evidence showed permanent habitat loss following the construction of fairways and greens, and that the stabilisation of mobile sand “has destroyed the dynamic nature of the site”.

Sally Thomas, director of people and nature at SNH, said: “The denotification of SSSIs is unusual, however in this case we have found there is no longer a reason to protect the dunes at Menie as they do not include enough of the special, natural features for which they were designated.

“We work with developers across Scotland to ensure habitats and wildlife are protected when development work is undertaken.

“Most of the time, development can take place without damaging important natural features, but this was not the case in this instance.”

SNH said evidence showed around a third of the special habitats at the Menie section of the Foveran SSSI had been damaged.

Trump’s golf course sand dunes could lose protected status

Let’s have the whole Trump organisation’s statement…

Sarah Malone, executive vice-president at Trump International, said: “This is an utter disgrace and shows SNH has hit an all-time low.

“To make an announcement to the media before informing us, the actual landowner, shows how politically-motivated this decision is. What other SSSI landowner is singled out in this way.

“It’s a stitch-up. Before Donald Trump invested in the site, SNH had little interest in the SSSI at Foveran Links and did even less about it, and has barely been on property since.”

Back in 2009, Ms Malone actually sounded as if she cared.

I wonder what hr bank account’s like nowadays?

How much IS integrity worth?

Excuse me, but why do we have to pay ANYTHING when a billionaire Orange Moron visits?

I hadn’t planned on paying any attention to the Orange Moron’s visit, but I found I had to at least mention the cost… TO US!

Why does the host country have to pick up the tab?

Same fiddle for the Commonwealth Games, and the Olympics pull the same ‘privilege’ scam on the host too.

Donald Trump’s three-day state visit next week is likely to be the costliest ever diplomatic trip for the British taxpayer, Scotland Yard has suggested.

The US president’s working trip last year drained around £18m from the public purse as 10,000 officers were deployed to help with security and policing, the largest police mobilisation since the London 2011 riots. The US embassy said that in addition to security and staff for himself and his family, Mr Trump will be joined by the presidential car, nicknamed “the Beast”, as well as the official helicopter, Marine One.

Given the upgraded status of this visit, security is expected to be even tighter. Safety concerns have already led to cancellation of a gilded carriage ride, typical for a state visit to Buckingham Palace.

The Stop Trump Coalition is promising to follow the President wherever he goes – starting at Buckingham Palace on Monday when the President is due to meet the Queen for a private lunch. Last year an estimated 250,000 people marched in London and another 150,000 joined protests around the UK against the President’s visit. Similar numbers are expected to join forces again next week.

Officials will also be keen to avoid another embarrassing incident following the one that occurred after what happened when Mr Trump paid a visit to Scotland last July.

In Ayrshire, a man was charged by police for an alleged breach of a no-fly zone after a microlight dragging a banner reading “Trump well below par” flew within metres of the President during his time at Turnberry golf course. Regional demonstrations across the UK are also planned, including in Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Belfast.

A spokeswoman for the Met Police told i: “This will be a multi-agency policing operation with a very experienced command team in place. We are currently looking at resource allocation and it is too early to speculate about the cost of the policing and security operation at this stage, but it will be significant.”

Donald Trump UK state visit: three-day stay likely to be costliest ever diplomatic trip for British taxpayers, Scotland Yard suggests

At least he’s not coming to Scotland, but as UK taxpayers, he’ll still be dipping into Scottish purses.

On a positive note, at least he doesn’t seem to have much luck with the ladies.

This is the second pic I’ve come across of him after one chopped his head off.

Dusseldorf carnival Trump

First time was by a comedienne, now the “Rosenmontag” carnival parade in Düsseldorf, which apparently always has some rather political and provocative carnival dares.

BBC delivers real licence fee value

Some say, there are people who complain about the BBC television licence fee.

I think anyone who complains should be given a framed copy of this, and sent away to reconsider what they consider to be real value for money!

Just look at that – the BBC managed to arrange a personal visit to their studios by the REAL Donald Trump 🙂

If that alone isn’t worth the licence fee, I don’t know what is.

Maybe video of someone chasing him with a pin?

Poke in the eye for Trump – Scottish government wins wind power legal costs

Nice one. Guess he didn’t ‘buy’ the judges.

Donald Trump’s Aberdeenshire golf resort must pay the Scottish government’s legal costs following a court battle over a major North Sea wind power development.

Mr Trump battled unsuccessfully in the courts to halt the project before he became US president.

Judges have now ruled Trump International Golf Club Scotland Ltd should pay the legal bills incurred.

Mr Trump had argued the development would spoil the view from his golf course at Menie.

The sum involved has not been disclosed.

Michael Moore on Donald Trump – Fahrenheit 11/9

Film-make Michael Moore can be an acquired taste, but then again, he’s not afraid to make points that others shy from, and he’s an Oscar winner, so he must be doing something right.

The first trailer for Michael Moore’s Donald Trump documentary Fahrenheit 11/9 has been released, promising an incendiary look at modern life in America.

The Oscar-winning film-maker has been focusing on the effect of the president in an attempt to shift public perception before November. “I’m finishing my movie and getting it out before the midterms because I want millions of people to get to the polls,” he said to Bill Maher in June. “We’re going to bring Trump down.”

In the first footage from the film, we see Moore speak to the Parkland student and activist David Hogg and rising Democratic star Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. The Bowling for Columbine director is also seen spraying “Flint water” into the front yard of Rick Snyder, the governor of Michigan.

Moore describes Trump as “the last president of the United States”. The film’s title is a reference to the day that he won the election.

In an interview with HuffPost, Moore describes Trump as an “evil genius” and speaks to the potential power of his new film.

Fahrenheit 11/9: first trailer for Michael Moore’s Trump documentary

The documentary will premiere at this year’s Toronto film festival before a US release on 21 September.

“Hope is passive,” Moore said about the movie. “Hope gives you permission to let someone else do the work. Hope leads people to believe that tax returns, or a pee tape, or the FBI or an adult film star will save the country. Hope, and the passivity that comes with it, is what helped get us here to begin with. It’s the lazy way out. We don’t need hope. We need action.”

Seems fair – fairer than anything that’s come from the Orange Moron.

The Big Orange Baby (can’t really ignore this affront)

There were just too many gems to pick from as the Orange Moron imposed himself on Scotland and the UK this week, but there were a couple that caught my eye.

You obviously can’t take him anywhere decent people go…

Orange baby has tiny hands, tiny brain, tiny bladder… can’t hold his tea…

Trump Tea Pee

Trump Tea Pee

And this sums up his respect for many…

Probably the most entertaining and informative activity during this sham visit has been the efforts of the Trump shills, as they came out in force in a (vain) effort to combat the negative comments from real people.

The most telling reveal was the way they often tried to equate the right of people to express their dislike of this obnoxious character by citing recent rulings on hate crime, as if they were picking on some aspect of the moron that he had no choice over.

While the Orange Moron chooses to target groups for his actions by way of birth/race/sex (which are criteria for hate crime), there is NO similarity in the actions of people who choose to be disgusted by his choices in such actions, and their expression of dislike or opposition to those things he has chosen to do.

But his side is unable to see such a difference.

Given his past pronunciations, there were a number of intriguing article in the media at the same time, for example…

By far the longest read was this article compiled by the BBC, and worth a look. It overs a lot of ground, and a lot of history,

Trump and Scotland

It seems he wasn’t even able to beat his son into agreeing that a wind farm built way out to sea ruined the view from his ‘magical’ golf course.

Eric Trump: Wind turbines don’t spoil golf course view

But, as was said would happen by those not anywhere on Trump’s payroll, the once significant dunes which bordered the site of his ‘magical’ golf course HAVE been ruined, and are probably going to be lost as a SSSI, with the classification withdrawn – but the Trump Organisation has also insisted that its environmental approach in Aberdeenshire has been “first class”.

Trump golf course ‘destroyed’ dunes

And finally, there’s a cheeky wee summary, just to remind you he really is an oaf of the first magnitude, not worth listening to (and should never ever have been allowed into the position he was able to somehow ‘swing’).

Welcome To Scotland Orange Moron

I found the person who prepared these placards being ‘Shouted Down’ by Trump shills trying to swamp the owners’ comment area with praise, propaganda (sorry, I should say ‘Alternative Facts’, shouldn’t I?), and hero worship for their paymaster.

In the interests of balance, I thought I’d just copy them here, and turn comments off.

And enjoy the feeling of satisfaction I can maybe share – with the image of those shills’ fuming with frustration at something they can do NOTHING about.

The Enemy of My Enemy is My Friend – Orange Moron validates ancient proverb

Must be the first time I’ve ever agreed with politicians, campaign groups, and trades union representatives.

(Don’t worry, I still have no time for any them in their ‘normal’ mode – this agreement is purely for this one common issue, and is not political, but to highlight an affront to all of us.)

Protesters united under the coalition will march against the Orange Moron’s alleged sexism, racism, and close ties to Russia as well as his administration’s environmental and immigration policies.

Umbrella group Scotland Against Trump is advertising a demonstration in Glasgow’s George Square on Friday, July 13 between 5-8pm.

Elsewhere (in Scotland) protests are expected at both of the Moron’s Scottish golf courses – Trump International Golf Links at Balmedie, Aberdeenshire, and Trump Turnberry near Girvan.

It’s been reported SCROTUS (branded a ‘vile xenophobe’ by the Scottish Green Party) will not visit the Isle of Lewis, birthplace of his mother Mary Anne MacLeod.

Scotland Against Trump: Where are protests against president’s visit taking place?

Apparently not a pic, despite its accuracy, and described as an ‘Angry Baby’ balloon.

They’re making these things really realistic nowadays!
