Some things just keep delivering surprises, such as this Peace Mosaic I thought I found in 2018, and then revisited in 2023.
I dug into the background then, so see these previous posts from 2018 and 2023:
Impromptu visit to Glasgow’s forgotten Let Peace Flourish mosaic
These were the pics from the time, also 2018, then 2023:

What I hadn’t realised was that I had ALREADY found this mosaic even before that, in 2016.
However, it seems that that was when I was becoming overwhelmed by the pics I was collecting, or finding I didn’t have the skills, or software, to correct pics which had issues.
I didn’t realise there were so many, and have been trying to review and uses them – and also index them, since most of them only have index numbers rather than proper captions, so can’t even be found.
2016 was slightly better
Taken a couple of years before what I thought was the first pic, the condition of the mosaic is a little better than seen in the later pics.
But the reason the pic was forgotten may have been due to a blue or purple cast the original, had, something I used to find was present in many evening pics taken back then. Also, something I couldn’t fix very well either.
Seems I can do a little better today, so here’s the 2016 view.

There’s probably still too much of that colour cast, but there seems to be an eyeball issue I don’t know how to deal with, where altering colours seems to leave a lingering after effect, and the eye seems to be biased by the previous version.
In this case, the mosaic looks as its whiter area has been restored at the time of edit, but when viewed later, looks as if insufficient correction has been applied.
That said, the edited version still looks a LOT better than the original with its colour cast, so I just go with it.
Spot the immortal bushes
Did you notice the three little bushes in the background?
From 2016 to 2025, NINE years, and they’ve barely changed
Are they plastic?
OH!
There seems to be something odd about the two trees behind, and to the right 😲
I’m guessing it’s down to where I stood to take the pics, but it looks as if there are two mature trees there in 2018, but only one in 2016, or 2023.
If you find the pics/dates confusing, or think I have the order wrong…
Just look at the changing damage to the mosaic, and that should make the order clear.
